Let me tell you I had one, and it was wonderful. Oasis Medi-Spa will be opening on Monday, April 16 just around the corner from the Chamber, across the street from Bailey Cable and Magee Courier. A ribbon cutting is planned for the same day at 11:00. Everyone is invited. ![]() Welcome to new Chamber member, Mona Williamson. Mona displayed her beautiful jewelry at Tea in the Gardens. Great stuff. I came away with a lovely silver buckle bracelet with lots of bling. When I got home I had to fight to keep it. Not only my daughter, but my 2 1/2 year old granddaughter tried to snag it. They loved it as much as I do. If you'd like to see Mona's jewelry, call 601-382-1686. This is your new blog post. Pretty in Pink, Gloria Lucas, owner of the McAlpin House and hostess of Tea in the Gardens visiting with our friends from Collins. ![]() Mr. and Mrs.Rabbit greeted guests at the door of the McAlpin House. Mrs. Rabbit's gown is the gown of Mrs. Marilyn Schuster Rusovich, Queen of the Krewe of Mystery Ball of 1956. The strapless gown is made of shimmering white satin trimmed in white fur. Thousands of Austrian crystal rhinestones and silver beading, all hand applied, sweep and swirl in floral patterns on the bodice and skirt of the gown. Triple strands of Austrian crystal rhinestones trail down the back of the gown and onto the train. For more Tea in the Gardens photos click on mageenews.com. There you will find photographs that are much better than mine and a lovely story by reporter Christy Wilson, former Distinguished Young Woman of Simpson County.
