There will be a ribbon cutting and grand opening of Uniquely Southern on Friday, December 11,2009 at 12:00 noon. This is located in the new building near Wal Mart. The 2009 Christmas Parade was one of the largest in recent years. Katina Rankin was the Grand Marshal, followed by Bob Everett, 2009 Outstanding Citizen, and Bro. Paul Padgett, 2009 Spirit of Magee. Our volunteer fire fighters put on a grand display showing off the best looking fire trucks around. Fire station 7 was also in attendence
with 3 of their trucks and 7 North Simpson County Explorers walking behind . The Magee and Mendenhall bands were on hand to set the mood with Christmas music. We had a number of floats this year and they all deserve recognition, but only three prizes were offered. First place went to Magee Vererinary Hospital, second place went to Boswell Regional Center, and third place went to Simpson County Schools Read to Me Program. We thank everyone that entered the parade and appreciate the effort of each one that made our parade a success. Looking forward to a bigger and better parade in 2010. Christmas Parade
